NEWS: Month-Long Refurbishment Announced for Magic Kingdom Attraction

Another attraction refurb is coming to Magic Kingdom!

Having to rearrange your plans due to your favorite ride or attraction being out of operation for a while can be a bit off-putting, especially when you weren’t factoring its closure into your plans. We do our best to tell you about these closures ahead of time so you can align your park plans accordingly, and there’s one more you’ll now need to plan for coming up soon!

One of the longest standing attractions in Disney World might not be available to you on your next trip if you’re visiting soon. We noticed the Swiss Family Robinson Treehouse in Adventureland has entered the most recent list of refurbishments coming up for Magic Kingdom.

Checking its calendar on the website, it appears the treehouse will still be welcoming visitors until Monday November 18th which is when the apparent refurbishment will begin.

However, it doesn’t seem we’ll have to be without it for too long because after sleuthing a bit more, we discovered its next available date with posted operation hours is December 20th. This means that the treehouse will be open once again just in time for Christmas!

From time to time, rides and attractions around Disney World are taken out of operation (most of the time briefly) to assess them for improvements and touch-ups. Since this refurbishment is only scheduled to last around a month, it doesn’t seem like anything too extensive to this downtime for the attraction is in the plan.
