Ready to have a swingin’ time at Disney Jollywood Nights? We know just where you need to be!
Disney World’s newest exclusive holiday party is back with even more exciting offerings, food, and characters, and we’re bringing you along for it all! If you’re really looking for one of the most exclusive offerings through the entire night, this party within the party is not to be missed!
You’ll find Jazzy Holidays hosted at The Hollywood Brown Derby each holiday party night. This fan-favorite restaurant transforms into a sophisticated jazz hangout complete with holiday music, and its own menu of festive cocktails, and light bites. This year, the process to book this experience changed to making a reservation Disney World’s app or website in advance which is how we were able to snag our reservation. This is one experience we’ve seen fill up quickly in the past but, that doesn’t necessarily mean you’re out of luck. If you didn’t make the initial wave of folks, keep refreshing your app as your party date gets closer and throughout the night for more availability.
Once it was our turn to head inside, we were ready to see what all waited for us on the other side of those doors!
This place is dripping in holiday flair with an old Hollywood vibe. Looking around at all the sights and sounds, you’re immediately immersed in all the festive decorations and live band performing for you while you enjoy your meal!
Speaking of which, there’s a TON of food to try out with this exclusive menu. Here’s a look at everything we tried on our first visit this season!
This round we decided to order the Chorizo Arancini with parmesan dust and salmorejo tomato sauce. This plate cost us $14. These were good, but they’re tough, because they remind us of something you could grab from the freezer aisle at the store and heat them up in the air fryer. But the filling was an interesting take on the dish, and we didn’t dislike it. It tasted good, but we wouldn’t choose it over other items on the menu, but we do want to point out that the tomato sauce was very light and paired well with the dish!
Next up on our list to try out was the Hamachi Crudo with caper aïoli, Dijon-avocado mousse, and citrus-champagne vinaigrette. This one will cost you $17. We loved 90% of this dish with how light it was, and it wasn’t overly fishy. The avocado mousse did a great job cutting through and balancing the flavors, but the vinaigrette was too salty for us. Our last bite was just too much of that vinaigrette, and it knocked it down from a perfect score for us. Overall though, very solid!
The Jazzy Holiday Slider was our next lucky victim of the night! It’s made of Bison and pork, onion jam, dulce gorgonzola, arugula, and a brioche roll and will cost you $14. We enjoyed these a lot! When they were first put down we expexted them to be dry, but they were not! We would have liked to see a little more of the onion jam, but there was NOT arugula on these, it was regular lettuce! Overall, we were more impressed than we thought we’d be, so definitely don’t count these out!
Keeping the party going we also opted to order the Sticky Chicken Wings with sweet-and-spicy soy which will cost you $15. Our one complaint here is that we would have rather had regular drums, but we loved the sauce! It had an almost smokey flavor to it, and the house made ranch on the side was INCREDIBLE. We honestly wish the ranch had been smothered on top of them, because the pairing was wonderful. We weren’t a fan of the pickled vegetables on the side though, but it’s easy to keep those away from the rest of the meal.
Is it really a holiday party without a little hot chocolate? That’s when we turned our attention to the Peppermint Schnapps Sipping Chocolate. This beauty is made with Tito’s Handmade Vodka and Peppermint Schnapps which will set you back $17.50. This was wonderful with a great burn from the liquor that helped balance out the sweetness. It tasted like true homemade hot chocolate, and it definitely gives you a bang for your buck!
The Holiday Mickey Hot Cocoa was too cute to pass up so we knew we had to order it too! It’s made of house-made hot cocoa topped with whipped cream, caramel-chocolate brownie Mickey ears, and holiday sprinkles which will cost you $5.49. This has the same homemade hot chocolate taste as the other alcoholic version, so it’s a great choice for those who prefer not to drink or kiddos! It was delicious and very sweet, and we loved the extra little brownie bits on top.
We also grabbed the Spiced Pear Martini, which is made with Grey Goose Vodka, spiced pear syrup, and lemon juice and costs $17.50. This was a great sweet martini, it wasn’t overly alcoholic, but it was tart and slightly overly acidic. Otherwise, it was pretty well balanced, but as a heads up, it was truly more a spiced pear flavor instead of a regular pear!
Overall, while we really enjoyed this experience, it is a LOT of time to spend when you’re attending an after hours event that only gives you 5 hours to experience the party. We think it’s a magic if:
- You’re into table service dining and want more of a chill party vibe
- You’re not interested in many of the other party offerings
- You have a more advanced palate/aren’t traveling with picky eaters
However, it’ll likely be a tragic if:
- You want to experience everything else the party has to offer — there just isn’t enough time to do this AND see all the shows, ride rides, and try other dishes
- You’re a pickier eater or are traveling with one
- You would feel stressed watching the clock while you wait for your food and therefore wouldn’t be able to enjoy the ambiance
This experience isn’t for everyone, but we certainly did have a great time! Don’t go far! We’re trying everything there is to do, see, and eat at Disney Jollywood Nights! Stay tuned with us as we bring you even more right here at AllEars!
