We Spotted Something NEW at One of Our FAVORITE Disney World Restaurants

One of our favorite Disney World theme parks to grab food in is Disney’s Animal Kingdom.

Not only does Animal Kingdom have a super fun character breakfast at Tusker House, but you can get some incredible food and drinks at Nomad Lounge. There’s also a kiosk that serves up a variety of macaroni and cheese dishes, plus a bar where you can get a boozy Dole Whip. One of our favorite places to eat in Animal Kingdom, though, is in Pandora, but something has recently changed there.

We were visiting Satu’li Canteen to grab a bite when we noticed that something had changed at the restaurant. Disney is testing out a new program where beverages are now being served in reusable plastic glasses that could be used all over Animal Kingdom. These glasses are a hard plastic so they don’t break easily, but they still feel like good quality like you’re drinking out a glass at a fancy table service restaurant.

If you order coffee at Satu’li Canteen, you’ll also get to see the new reusable coffee cups, which look like ceramic, but they’re also made with plastic, so they don’t break. They also have a very Animal Kingdom vibe.

Now, we know that Animal Kingdom is trying to use less plastics (which is why you’ll only get paper straws here instead of plastic), but with these being reusable, we guess Disney feels they’re not just sustainable but also practical. We’ll have to see how this test period goes and if they’ll get rolled out to other restaurants in the park.
