2024 is starting to come to an end, and this year, we had so many delicious meals at Disney World.
This year, we tried A LOT of food this year. From bars, lounges, quick service, table service, and food booths, we have tried it all. While there are still a few months left of the year, we thought we would take some time to reflect on six of the best meals we have eaten at Disney World this year. Some of these items have been on menus forever, we can’t help but still call them the best. You just can’t go wrong with the classics!
It was hard to narrow down this list as Disney World has over 250 restaurants. Our team has spoken, and these are hands down the six best meals we tried this year.
Gulf Shrimp Bucatini
Nestled off the shores of the Seven Seas Lagoon is Narcoosees at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort. This restaurant has been recently refurbished, and trust us, this restaurant is a must-do for your next trip to Disney World. Not only is the food excellent, but it also has great views of Magic Kingdom. At nighttime, you can watch the Electrical Water Pageant and fireworks from either your table or the outside viewing deck.Â
While everything we tried here was absolutely delicious, we loved the Gulf Shrimp Bucatini. This dish has house-made Bucatini Pasta, roasted tomatoes, savoy spinach, parsley, and basil pistou. The Bucatini is so good that you can tell that it is made in-house. The sauce is creamy and adds a nice garlic taste to the shrimp. It is a very generous portion, so be prepared to come hungry!
Maple Mustard Salmon
We can’t lie; we know it can be challenging to find really good food in Magic Kingdom. Frequently, we recommend leaving the park and heading to a monorail hotel to grab a bite to eat, but Columbia Harbour House is a different story.
Columbia Harbour House is hands down the best quick service option in Magic Kingdom, and we love the Maple Mustard Salmon. This dish is now served with rice and green beans. The salmon is so tender that it is crazy that it is served at a quick-service restaurant in a theme park. Â
Aunt Liz’s Golden Fried Chicken
Remember when we said you can’t go wrong with the classics? Well, this dish is a staple at 50s Prime Time Cafe in Hollywood Studios.Â
Aunt Liz’s Golden Fried Chicken is served with roasted garlic mashed potatoes, chicken gravy, and seasonal vegetables. It is an iconic dish, and it will always be our go-to when we dine here. Don’t forget to clean your plate and keep your elbows off the table!
Jambalaya
Are you looking for a little bit of Louisiana cooking? Look no further than Sassagoula Floatworks and Food Factory at Disney’s Port Orleans Resort – French Quarter. We love Jambalaya, which has chicken and Andouille sausage with vegetables cooked in a rich, spicy sauce with rice.Â
We rave about how good this dish is. After your meal is done, you can finish it off with some Mickey Beignets at Scat Cat’s Club – Café. For a limited time while Scat Cat’s Club – Café is under construction, you can find Mickey Beignets at Sassagoula Floatworks and Food Factory until mid-October.
Mexico Booth in EPCOT
The EPCOT International Food and Wine Festival has started, and we have tried EVERYTHING. One booth reigned supreme, in our opinion, and that was the Mexico Booth. Now granted, the Mexico Booth is pretty good during every festival, but this year, it was at the next level.
The Flauta de Barbacoa, Tostada de Camarones, and Pan de Elote were unbelievable. We highly recommend getting all three if you visit the festival this year.
New Zealand Lamb Chops and Burrata
Wine Bar George in Disney Springs is one of our favorite places to return to. They have small plates, family-style plates, and a great selection of wine. Plus, there are so many seating options. We love to eat outside on the balcony and have a view of Disney Springs. It is so hard to choose the best of the best on this menu because it is all really that good.Â
If we had to choose, from the small plates, we love to order the New Zealand Lamb Chops and Burrata. These dishes are great to share to sample a little bit of everything. The New Zealand Lamb Chops are served with black garlic purée, salted onions, and a herb vinaigrette. The Burrata is a great portion as it comes with heirloom tomatoes, fresh corn, and local sourdough.
It is so hard to narrow down a list when we tried so many amazing things this year. We can’t wait to continue dining at Disney World and add more of the best meals to our growing list. As always, keep following along with AllEars for more Disney news, tips, and updates!
