I go to Disney World pretty often, and it NEVER gets old.

I love exploring the parks and resorts, dressing up and heading to Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party, and, of course, checking out some of the seasonal snacks. But there’s one new thing I’ve started looking forward to, and I wasn’t expecting it. I have a new appreciation for the parking trams at Disney World. In fact, I’ve found a new love for them, not only because they save you from walking steps you don’t have to, but because of the Cast Members!
Usually, you hear about how some of the funniest Cast Members in Disney World are those on Jungle Cruise. Those Skippers know how to get their boat laughing as you cruise around the waterway, that’s for sure!

However, I now think that the Cast Members who run the parking trams in the parks are some of the funniest Cast Members I’ve ever heard.

I think part of it is because it was so unexpected! There I was, sitting on the tram heading to EPCOT, when I noticed something different in the typical Cast Member safety spiel. Instead of just telling guests not to grab anything that falls off the tram, the Cast Member said to “be like Elsa and let it gooooo.“ It surprised me and kinda shocked me back into the moment.

Only a few hours later, while heading back to my car from EPCOT, I was waiting for another tram to leave the station when the Cast Member said, “And this is our final countdown…” and then proceeded to add the iconic notes from the song “The Final Countdown” by Europe. It’s hard to put into words just how funny it was, but you know what? Just check out the clip below; you’ll get to hear it in real-time!
While Jungle Cruise Cast Members have a script they have to follow (but can put their own spin on it), these parking tram Cast Members have the safety information they have to put out there. Yes, that’s a script, but they’re also able to add their own twist to things that haven’t necessarily been pre-approved, and I LOVED that.

So, to all parking tram Cast Members, your jokes are VERY appreciated and do not go unnoticed! Thank you for making what could have been a simple ride to and from our cars just as magical as the rest of the day. We appreciate you (and your jokes)!

As a Gen Xer, I’ve been going to the parks since the Magic Kingdom opened. And as a young person, my dream was to be a Tram Driver one day. I thought they were so funny and that it must be the best job in the world. I haven’t been on a Tram since the days my family camped at Fort Wilderness, as now I stay at WDW hotels and take their buses, skyliner or boats but I still have wonderful memories of the trams. Glad to hear the drivers are still awesome!
Yes, they are so wonderful!! I’m glad you have such fond memories of them!
