So there are times when things are not quite so magical in The Most Magical Place on Earth, aka Disney World.

Sometimes, the weather just doesn’t cooperate: it can be unbearably hot and humid or you might have to deal with one of many random Florida downpours. Sometimes rides temporarily close due to weather or technical issues. Sometimes, other things happen — and we’re categorizing a recent incident at Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort and Campground as “other” because it’s closed several bus routes.Â
We recently visited Fort Wilderness to check out the bus situation and we discovered that the bus loops for the 600-1,000 area of the resort were blocked off with orange cones, potentially due to some kind of leak or something similar. As you can see the area is marked with a Detour sign, meaning depending on where you’re staying at the resort, you may have to catch the bus elsewhere. This might also affect you if you are driving around the resort.

We spoke with a Cast Member who told us that this happened a few days ago, and, as of yet, they do not have an estimated time on when the issue may be fixed and the route re-opened.
In the meantime, if you’re staying at the resort, you might just have to be re-routed if you’re taking Disney bus transportation or driving, so keep that in mind because this could affect how long it takes you to get to where you’re going. If you have an advance dining reservation, this is especially true: give yourself a little extra time to get to the restaurant.
If you’re headed to Magic Kingdom from Fort Wilderness, you might want to take the boat to the park instead.

We’ll be circling back around to Fort Wilderness eventually to let you know when that happens, so check back with AllEars again soon for more.
