NO. WAY. Disney Announced NEW ‘Lion King’ Ride (!!!), and You’re Gonna LOVE It!

It has been quite an eventful weekend. We’ve been at D23: The Ultimate Disney Fan Event, and Disney has made a ton of announcements about movies, parks, cruise ships, and SO MUCH MORE.

Several of those announcements, though, were for one particular Disney resort, which is getting one of its theme parks completely reimagined. We now have more details about the two lands that are coming to that resort.

Disneyland Paris Resort recently announced that its Walt Disney Studios park was getting a complete overhaul and would be renamed Disney Adventure World. As part of that overhaul, a brand new land based on The Lion King is coming to the park! This new land will be dedicated to characters and stories from The Lion King with dining, shopping, and character meet-and-greets. Here’s a 3-D model of the new area:

This land will also include a brand NEW ride in Pride Rock that will follow Simba’s journey from cub to king — and “We Just Can’t Wait…” Disney promises that “it’s going to feel like you stepped right into the movie.” Here’s the concept art for the ride.

But that’s not all! As you may be aware, a new Frozen-themed land is also coming soon to the newly-named Disney Adventure World. This land will be similar to the World of Frozen Land that recently opened at Hong Kong Disneyland and Tokyo DisneySea. Well, we’ve got some big news about THAT land, too.

The new Frozen-themed land at Disneyland Paris’ Disney Adventure World will be opening in 2026. That’s pretty soon, so we’re sure we’ll be getting even more details about the new land from Disney between now and then.
