3 Surprises at the Disney World Swan and Dolphin That We Seriously Weren’t Expecting

When you are planning a trip to Disney World, you will quickly find that there is no lack of options for where to stay while you are there.

You can choose from a variety of Disney World hotels, or opt to stay at an off-site hotel. Or, you can also choose to stay at a Marriott-owned hotel that is located on Disney World property with the perks of staying at a Disney World hotel.

We have stayed at the Walt Disney World Swan and Dolphin many times, and there were a few things that really surprised us. Let’s dive into the list!

The Amount of Dining Options

We know there is no shortage of dining options across Disney World property, but we were still blown away by how many options the Walt Disney Swan and Dolphin have.

Between the two hotels, you can choose from 23 restaurants and lounges. Twenty three. That is so many options and you can find almost anything you could want at those dining options.

The hotels offer everything from cafes to fancy sit-down restaurants. You can even stop by for grab-and-go food items and froyo.

There are just so many dining options available. You can grab Mickey Waffles from Java, steak from Shula’s Steak House, wood-fired pizzas from Il Mulino, and even sushi from Kimonos. Those are just the beginning of the options available for you at these hotels though!

So. Many. Pool Options

The Walt Disney World Swan and Dolphin definitely blew us away with dining options, but that is not where the choices end. These hotels also boast a total of six pools that you can use. That is a whole lot of pools, and while that means more decisions, that also means that you will be able to decide which pool is best for you.

You can even go to a pool that features white sand beach for relaxation. We have noticed that the pools at the Swan and Dolphin don’t usually get as crowded as they do at Disney hotels, either. We found relaxing by the pool to be so much easier.

As well, one of our favorite things about the pools at the Swan and Dolphin is that you can Mobile Order food directly to your lounge chair. That’s right, order food on your phone and the food will be brought out to you while you are lounging by the pool!

A Secret Wedding Location

Finally, we were also surprised by the secret wedding location hiding inside of the Walt Disney World Swan and Dolphin. Now the wedding location is not a specific location, but rather a variety of options available at the Swan and Dolphin hotels. You can book a wedding on the white sand beach of the hotel or at a terrace.

There is also the option of booking a secluded courtyard for an intimate wedding ceremony.

Or you can head indoors to one of the ballrooms or you can even get married on the rooftop of the Swan Reserve.

There are so many options for wedding venues at the Swan and Dolphin hotels, and they let you get married near the magic of Disney World without being right in the middle of Disney World. Plus, the available venues look absolutely gorgeous!
