We have an important update if you are planning on staying at the Shades of Green Resort in the upcoming months.

The resort will be closing down one of its restaurants this summer, and we want to make sure you know about it!
Shades of Green Resort is a military-owned Armed Forces Recreation Center Resort that is exclusively for active and retired military, Department of Defense civilians, and their families. The resort just announced that the Garden Gallery Marketplace will be closed from July 7th through September 29th.

Shades of Green stated that guests should visit either Evergreens Sports Bar or Mangino’s for dinner during this time. The Garden Gallery, which offers a buffet breakfast, will still be open daily from 7AM-11AM.

The Garden Gallery Marketplace usually offers a variety of takeout options including pizza, noodles, and sandwiches. The resort made this change as they were revaluating their summer offerings. While it is always frustrating to learn something will be closed during your stay, there are still two other options for dinner at Shade of Green.

Mangino’s is a full-service restaurant that offers a large menu including steaks and classic Italian dishes. Evergreens is a family-friendly sports bar that serves gastropub classic and beers on tap. And while not as convenient, there are also lots of other dining options throughout the Disney World Resort. You can dine at the theme parks, Disney Springs, or even head over to another resort to check out their restaurants.

Shades of Green is located near Magic Kingdom, and while not a Disney World operated resort, you can still take advantage of perks like Early Entry. The resort also provides free transportation to the parks. If you are looking for other dining options outside of Shades of Green, make sure you check out our video that has the 24 best Disney World restaurants for 2024:
