When you go to Disney World, where do you prefer to stay?
Are you splurging to stay at a deluxe resort, going for the middle at a moderate resort, or traveling on more of a budget (or you just love over-the-top theming) and are staying at a value resort? If your answer was the third option and you’re specifically staying at Pop Century Resort in the next few months, we have an update you NEED to know about!
We recently found out that Disney World guests who are booking stays at Pop Century in the coming months are receiving the following email to warn them about construction coming to the resort’s food court, Everything POP.
According to the message, the food court will remain open for guests throughout the refurbishment. Mobile Order will still be available, as well as the drink stations and seating. We’re assuming this means that part of the seating area will be closed off for refurbishment, and then when one area is complete, other areas will go under construction instead. That way, the restaurant is never fully closed but is being refurbished as need be.
So when is this set to begin? We’ve heard that guests booking their stays in September are receiving this message, but so are guests booking their stays for next month. Disney has not confirmed an official start date, but when we did some digging, we found that July 29th could be the first date of this construction.
The Everything POP food court is known for feeling like a mashup of a ton of different decades, just like the hotel itself is. This does mean it can feel a little overwhelming though, especially to those who struggle with sensory issues.
There’s plenty of seating available in this location though, so you won’t struggle to find a spot. The food here is closer to your basic theme park food, which means it’s ideal for picky eaters, but those looking for something a little more exciting may be disappointed.
However, while construction is going on, it’s very possible that seating will be more limited, so it may be harder to find a place to sit during busy meal times!

We booked a trip in February for the pop century. Got our letter last week. We are considering another resort because of worry of the mobile lines being ridiculously long. We love the pop! Hate to change especially since they are offering no discounts to do so for those that had already booked before hand, but who knows maybe we will find a resort we like better.
