Temporary CLOSURE Announced for Entire Land at Disneyland

Are you getting excited about Tiana’s Bayou Adventure? We know we are!

This new ride will open in summer 2024 in Disney World, and a bit later in Disneyland. We’ve been keeping an eye on the ride’s progress on both coasts, and we just learned that two new stores will be coming to Disneyland as part of the reimagining. But, that does mean a temporary closure is on the horizon.

Good news! TWO new stores are coming to Disneyland soon, over in Critter Country near Tiana’s Bayou Adventure. Ray’s Berets will replace the current location of The Briar Patch. This shop will have headwear, apparel, accessories, toys, and more. Louis’ Critter Club which will take over the left side of the store called Pooh Corner.

But, in order for Disney to make these changes, it means a temporary closure is in order for Critter Country. Starting May 1st, 2024, Critter Country will be closed to make way for these new stores.

Scott Gustin also shared on X / Twitter that Hungry Bear Restaurant will remain open during the Critter Country closure but The Many Adventures of Winnie will be closed. No changes are planned for that ride, though!

There is no exact timeline for when the stores open but we expect it to be around the same time as the ride. Disney has not yet announced an opening date for Tiana’s Bayou Adventure but we can expect it sometime in 2024 at Disneyland and this summer over at Disney World.
