The Reason We’re AFRAID to Go to Disney World This Weekend

Think February is the slow season in Disney World? Well, you would be WRONG!

Crowds in Magic Kingdom

February has been particularly busy in 2024, with national cheerleading competitions in Orlando and hoards of people out of school for holidays like Mardi Gras and Presidents’ Day. Now, we’re heading into another busy weekend and we’re here with a warning!

The Disney Princess Half Marathon Weekend takes place from February 22nd-26th this year, and the crowds have ARRIVED in the parks. On Wednesday, February 21st, we saw one of the busiest days we’ve had in Magic Kingdom in a while.

So if you’re planning to go to the parks this weekend, you’ll want to be prepared. And for those who need park passes — we have some bad news! Disney Park Passes are currently fully booked for EPCOT and Magic Kingdom for the entire weekend. This applies to guests staying at select resort hotels and those with theme park tickets attempting to make reservations.

For Annual Passholders, Magic Kingdom is already full for Saturday, February 24th. Reservations are required for Passholders at Magic Kingdom on Saturdays and Sundays.

Keep in mind that those with date-based tickets (like you purchased a ticket for a specific day or you purchased tickets as part of a vacation package) are no longer required to make park passes to visit Disney World.
