The time has come to say farewell to the Country Bear Jamboree on its final day in Magic Kingdom.

We’ve been counting down the days to the last day of performances for the Country Bear Jamboree ever since its closure was announced. Now that we know another version of the attraction is set to debut in its place, we’re ready to come back around one last time and see how the crowds faired on its final day at Disney World.
The day has finally come around for the Country Bear Jamboree to take its final bow performing in its original state. On January 26th, 2024, the final performances for Country Bear Jamboree will have us laughing and singing along to nostalgic tunes for decades.

In case you’re not as familiar, the Country Bear Jamboree was one of the original attractions included in Frontierland of Magic Kingdom. Additionally, it was one of the last attractions that Walt Disney himself had a hand in bringing to life before his passing in December 1966. When you step in through the doors you’re in for a rootin’ tootin’ good time with a ragtime-style show put on by animatronic bears who do a decent job singing toe-tapping tunes (and occasionally making a cheeky joke.)

Now that you know a bit more about the attraction, let’s take a look at how the crowds were on closing day!

When we arrived early in the morning we were a bit surprised. The crowds had started to form on the porch for the closing attraction, but really didn’t seem too bad!

In fairness, we asked a Cast Member what time we should be expecting the attraction to open this morning and they confirmed it would be opening at its typical time of 11AM.

The crowds a few hours in advance of the first showtime on its final day of performances weren’t too bad, they certainly started picking up as we hopped in line to see the second show!

The line stretched even further this time than the first showing and we barely made it inside to see them!

During the show, we heard thunderous applause for popular characters as they took turns singing and playing their tunes and everyone seemed to be feeling the nostalgia all around.

We highly anticipate this picking up through the day and closer to the end of the night when other folks will be stopping by to say their farewells to the beloved attraction.

The line to get into the show wasn’t the only crowd we spotted though. Roaming Country Bear Jamboree characters like Big Al and Liver Lipps have also attracted huge crowds of people looking to grab photos and a “big ole bear hug” in person.

While it may be sad for some to see a classic attraction close its doors for the last time in its current state, we’re eager to see how well the revised version of Country Bear Jamboree will go over with fans.
