NEWS: Genie+ Sells Out at Disney’s Hollywood Studios and Animal Kingdom

This is why we warn you about the week between Christmas and New Year’s in Disney World.

While we saw some fairly tame crowds on Christmas Eve and Day, the following days are no joke. On December 27th, 2023, all four Disney World parks were sold out and record-high Genie+ prices continue. Now, we have another update from this hectic day in Disney World.

UPDATE: By 1PM on December 28th, Genie+ was sold out in both Hollywood Studios and Animal Kingdom. This is likely something that will continue to happen over the next week or so as the holiday season comes to an end.

As of 1:30PM, Genie+ has sold out for Disney’s Hollywood Studios and therefore the multi-park option is also sold out. If one park sells out of Genie+, the multi-park option becomes unavailable. We’ve seen Magic Kingdom sell out a few times before, but this is the first time we’ve seen Genie+ sell out at Hollywood Studios.

The price for Genie+ at Hollywood Studios on December 27th was $35 — a record-high price for the park. These prices hit Genie+ on December 23rd and they’ve been around ever since.

Genie+ for the other parks are as follows:

• $39 for Magic Kingdom and multiple parks
• $32 for EPCOT
• $29 for Animal Kingdom

As of the writing of this post, several Lightning Lanes are already full for the day meaning you can most likely no longer book them with Genie+. Sometimes these Lightning Lanes will pop up if others cancel, so keep refreshing. Tower of Terror, Toy Story Mania, Slinky Dog Dash, Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster (which has been down most of the day), Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run, and Mickey and Minnie’s Runaway Railway are all showing as sold out for the day on the My Disney Experience app.
