Disney World rides might be some of the best simply because of the stories they tell.

The House of Mouse is not commonly known for its thrill rides but more for the atmospheres you’re transported to through the rides. Yet, as Disney continues to update and add to the parks, we are seeing more and more rides for thrill seekers like Expedition Everest and Rise of the Resistance. So we decided to check out Yelp and see which rides YOU think are the top 5 in Disney World.
Every one of the top 5 rides on Yelp is one of Disney’s thrill rides, so knowing that you can probably guess what they are! They were all rated VERY closely together, with only a .1 difference between 1 and 5. So what were they? Well, here they are starting with number 5 (for suspense).
5. Avatar Flight of Passage
Flight of Passage is found in Pandora at Disney’s Animal Kingdom. Since its beginning, it has seen massive lines stretching for hours. It’s no surprise it made this list.

It came in at number five but tied with numbers 3 and 4 if we go solely off its star rating. Flight of Passage had 4.6 stars with 332 reviews. Most reviews said they continue to love this ride. The main cause for not giving it five stars is that it is an Individual Lightning Lane ride, meaning you have to pay extra for a Lightning Lane instead of it being included with Genie+. Overall, it seems that people really enjoy this ride!
4. Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster
Aerosmith’s Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster over in Disney’s Hollywood Studios came in at number four with a 4.6 rating!

This ride received 226 reviews with people saying it was “a must” at Disney World. It seemed that even the people who left less than 5-star reviews still really loved it with almost no one adding what they didn’t like about the ride. A few mentioned that the ride is rough and that 1 minute is not long enough for this ride. But overall, Rock ‘n’ Rollercoaster was getting lots of love!
3. The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror
The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror is known to be a fan favorite, so its being number 3 on Yelp isn’t surprising at all.

Tower of Terror also received a 4.6 rating after 233 people left reviews. One reviewer (Tammy) left a very confusing review: “I really should give this place a one star! The decor is very outdated like it’s from the 1900s, and looks like it hasn’t been cleaned in decades. And the elevators need servicing! They suddenly go up and down, and you feel like you’re falling into the basement. My spirit left my body for a good few seconds.”
Okay, it wasn’t that confusing if you’ve been on this ride (if you know, you know).
2. Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind
One of Disney World’s newest rides has nearly topped them all (and we agree!). Cosmic Rewind is truly out of this world (pun intended).

The new coaster received a 4.7 rating (tying with first) with only 70 reviews (it is practically brand new). Riders were raving about this ride and for good reason. This new ride is one that you NEED to experience, so we’re not going to write much else about it so we don’t spoil it for you. Just go ride it.
1. Expedition Everest
Number one was a bit of a surprise to us. While Expedition Everest is an awesome ride, we didn’t think it would top Guardians of the Galaxy. But sure enough with 4.7 stars and 204 reviews, it is considered the top ride in Disney World on Yelp (which makes this list official, of course).

People seem to like all the different effects of this ride the most. From going backward to being in the dark to then back outside, it’s a new effect nearly every second. It’s been around for a little while, but clearly people thoroughly enjoy it. The less than 4-star reviews seemed to review the whole park, not just Expedition Everest, and we’re not sure that’s fair to the ride. It is definitely worth riding.

So there you have it, the top 5 Disney World rides according to Yelp! It seems like a pretty good list to us with nearly all of Disney’s thrill rides at the top (makes sense).

I imagine the Yelp survey skews to the young adult demographic. Not surprising, then, to see thrill rides taking all the top spots.
