HOLD UP! Why Did No One Tell Me You Could Get DOLE WHIP at Universal Orlando?

Are you ready to have your mind blown? This is news that could break you in the fight of which of the Orlando theme parks are worthy of YOUR visit.

In between choosing the best transportation to take to the parks and thrilling rides at Universal Studios Florida, you’ve got to stop sometime and enjoy a treat at some point. And while the line for the newly reopened Starbucks location may be longer, we spotted something else JUST as iconic that we think will make your ears perk up. 

We usually don’t make such a big deal of something so simple but trust us, this information is worth its weight in gold, or, maybe just pineapple. On a recent visit to Universal Studios we decided to stop in to grab a sweet treat and boy, did we hit the JACKPOT!

If you’ve never ventured through the streets of Hollywood and found your way into Schwab’s Pharmacy thanks to those lovely wafting smells through the door consider yourself lucky. No, it’s not an actual drug store, however, it’s themed like an old-timey pharmacy with booths, stools, a cool bar area with sweets in jars, and best of all… they serve ice cream and shakes. We fell victim to the sweet smells lingering in the doorway and decided to browse the menu in search of something tasty and that’s when it happened.

We almost couldn’t believe our eyes but right there, hidden in plain sight, it called to us. Pineapple Dole Whip. Did you know you could get this at Universal Studios in Orlando?

Disney World has worked the iconic treat into several aspects of its marketing including social media and mainstream merchandise so much so that Pineapple Dole Whip has almost become synonymous with their parks — however, they don’t own the Dole Treat despite working so closely with them.

It was nice to find this delicious creamy soft-serve in one of Universal’s restaurants so of course we had to stop for a cup… but we’re going to take this one step further. Presenting your valid annual or season pass to the Team Member at the register could earn you a discount on your total price based on your pass’s tiered discount structure. We were able to save over 10% on ours!

Of course, this isn’t a total secret but it was a nice find to be able to experience something familiar especially if you’re looking to split your vacation up between both theme park destinations in a visit and help you from having major FOMO if you’re missing another round of dole whip.
