Disney has released a lineup of sweets, treats, and desserts fit for royalty!

We’re used to getting new themed desserts for movie premieres and holidays but this latest wave of treats to hit Disney World might test just how far you’ll go to track them all down.
Disney World is gearing up to celebrate World Princess Week in a sweet way! This year, Disney’s World Princess Week is celebrated in Disney World from August 20TH through August 26th, 2023 and they’re filled to the brim with experiences to make you feel like royalty.

With so many treats scattered throughout the Disney World parks and resorts, it was so hard to pin down just a few to try ourselves. Luckily we tried a few that we thought you’d enjoy most, but were they really the fairest of them all?
Rapunzel Cone
We snagged this Rapunzel-themed cone at Swirls on the Water in Disney Springs. This treat is made of both lemon and raspberry-flavored Dole Whip soft serve swirled in a lavender cone decorated with sugar flowers and costs $6.49.

This was such a welcomed treat on such a hot summer day and so refreshing! The soft serve swirl was delicious and the zesty lemon against the bright tart raspberry paired so well together. While the sugar flowers didn’t add much in terms of taste they certainly helped make this treat very pretty and made for a nice crunch if you bite into them! Overall we really enjoyed this one but it could get super melty so take a friend to share it with or be prepared to eat it quickly!
Little Mermaid Waffle Sundae
We snagged this fun mermaid-themed waffle sundae at Marketplace Snacks also in Disney Springs. This snack is made of vanilla soft-serve ice cream in a bubble waffle with rock candy, green apple sauce, pineapple wedges, strawberry-flavored pocky sticks, and chocolate decor. This one costs $8.99.

Not only is this one gorgeous to look at but it’s just as tasty. It was super sweet and fruity! The vanilla soft serve is pretty standard but the pineapple wedges were very fresh. The strawberry pocky sticks were cute and added another hint of strawberry flavor when you bit into them. The bubble waffle was adorable but most importantly soft and easily pulled apart. It tasted more like a pancake than a waffle. We’d totally get this one again and it was a great portion for the price.
Make It Pink, Make It Blue Color Changing Mouse
Bop on over to Topolino’s Terrace at Disney’s Riviera Resort to unlock the magic in this one! This dessert is made of orange blossom honey mousse with strawberry curd inside. There’s also berry compote on the side and a white chocolate crown decoration with edible gold dust. This one clocked in as the most expensive treat we tried at $16.
Watch this one go from pink…

…to blue with just a spritz of citrus!

This dessert was incredibly light, airy, and bright. It was fluffy and melted in our mouths but we also found it heavy on the honey. It has an interesting natural sweetness without tasting like straight sugar which we really appreciated. We also thought the cake on the bottom was bland but recognized that it was necessary to hold the mousse together. Additionally, the berry compote added a nice tartness to balance out the sweetness, but the chocolate crown was really more for decoration and didn’t add much to the overall flavor.
Ariel Milkshake
We tracked down this sweet treat at Beaches & Cream Soda Shop at Disney’s Beach Club Resort. It’s made of a chocolate chip-mint milkshake with green caramel and a specialty vanilla cupcake. This one is a bit pricey at $15.

We’re pleased to report that this one was just as good as these milkshakes always are — super rich and creamy. We loved the mint chocolate flavors — it reminded us of a good mint chocolate ice cream and we found it refreshing without tasting like toothpaste (which was a total plus!) There were pretty sizable pieces of chocolate in the shake, so it added a bit of texture but they tend to sink to the bottom the longer you wait to drink it, so our pro tip for this one is to be sure you stir it up!
Tiana Banana Pudding
We ventured over to Regal Eagle Smokehouse in EPCOT for this next treat! This one is made of banana pudding layered with whipped cream and nilla wafers topped with a chocolate decoration. This is a smaller dessert so it cost $5.29.

We tried and we really couldn’t find fault with this one! It’s so creamy and the layers of the banana pudding taste fresh while the whipped cream at the top also has a drizzle of melted caramel sauce that ups the sweetness ante. The wafer cookies were crumbly and didn’t taste like they had been sitting in the pudding very long (not mushy) and the Tiana chocolate decoration on the top is beautiful. The banana pudding tastes homemade and is nothing like a mix or gritty which you rationally anticipate from a Disney restaurant but this surprised us in the best way.
But, banana pudding is available at Regal Eagle year-round, so we wouldn’t rush to get this one.
Moana Heart of Te Fiti Cupcake
Then we found our way over to Pizzafari in Disney’s Animal Kingdom for this cupcake. This was a coconut explosion made of coconut cake, pineapple custard filling, coconut buttercream icing, a white chocolate “Heart of Te Fiti” and coconut crumble, and costs $6.29.

From the moment we saw this one we could appreciate every aspect of its beauty and thought that went into creating it. We had so much fun noticing details like the coconut crumble that looks like beach sand and the blue and white buttercream surrounding the Heart of Te Fiti. Our only caution with this one is that it’s definitely a coconut-heavy flavored treat and we could taste a stronger sense of flavor in the buttercream icing. What really saves this one though is the coconut cake and pineapple filling inside that break up the heavy flavors and add a sweet and tangy combo. Ultimately, though, this is a cupcake — and there are much more interesting desserts in Disney World!
These aren’t the only treats available for World Princess Week though so if you’re feeling even more adventurous, we encourage you to track down a few yourself and tell us which was your favorite! For the latest in Disney news and updates though, be sure to check back in with us at AllEarws.
