EPCOT is unique for many reasons, but World Showcase may be our favorite part of the park! How many theme parks allow you to go all around the world in one day?

Some new things are happening at different pavilions including a new photo studio in the Norway pavilion and price increases at each Mexico pavilion restaurant. Disney also recently announced a brand new restaurant coming to the Japan pavilion called Shiki-Sai: Sushi Izakaya and now Disney has dropped another clue about it online.
When browsing through the restaurant pages on the Disney World website, we noticed a change — the Tokyo Dining page has been updated.

Based on the location mentioned by Disney with the announcement of Shiki-Sai: Sushi Izakaya, it was assumed that it would be taking over where Tokyo Dining currently is. On top of that, Tokyo Dining has been closed for refurbishment for a little while now. However, it hasn’t really been confirmed…until now!

When you click on the Tokyo Dining page now, the name on the page has changed to the name of the new restaurant — Shiki-Sai: Sushi Izakaya. Everything else about the page seems to be the same as before, including the restaurant description, but there is currently no option to view a menu.

We’ve seen a sneak peek at some menu items coming to the restaurant, but a full menu has not been revealed yet. This name change on the page seems to confirm that Shiki-Sai is taking over Tokyo Dining!

So if you’ve been in invested in this EPCOT change, now we have a more solid answer on the new restaurant’s location. Disney has not announced an exact opening date, but it is set to open this summer — stay tuned for an opening date!

Are you looking forward to this new restaurant in EPCOT? Tell us in the comments!
I would be thrilled if the renovation/change of Tokyo Dining included a door between it and Teppan Edo. The noise from Teppan Edo adversely affected the dining experience at Tokyo Dining.
I would love to see more in Japan, like gachapon and vending machines. Maybe have a replica of an iconic part of Tokyo.
