Sure, you could celebrate Halloween the Disney way by grabbing a Disney costume, decorating your home in Disney merchandise, or even just visiting the Haunted Mansion but there’s a more UNIQUE way to experience a spooky Disney celebration.
If you really want to go all out with the Halloween fun and combine a special vacation with it too, check out the Halloween on the High Seas offerings on Disney Cruise Line! These sailings are returning in 2023 and we’ve got all the details you need to know here.
What Is Halloween on the High Seas?
During Halloween on the High Seas, you can enjoy special spooky entertainment and more while also taking in the sights, sounds, and FOOD of a fabulous Disney Cruise.
Basically, it’s a Halloween-themed cruise!
What Do You Get to Do?
During this extravaganza, there will be Halloween decorations all throughout the ship…
…including the Pumpkin Tree — a staple of Halloween on Disney Cruise Line.
On the ship, you’ll also find specialty Halloween merchandise.
During our experience in 2022, there weren’t a lot of specialty Halloween-themed snacks, but we did see Candy Corn Gelato at Vanellope’s Sweets and Treats on the Disney Dream.
We also got to do some trick-or-treating (but be warned, those lines can get long).
You’ll want to set some time aside during your cruise for the special shows and entertainment too. On the main deck, you’ll find Mickey’s Mousequerade Party, which features live music, dancing, and more.
Plus, during Halloween on the High Seas, you’ll find special characters, including Minnie, Daisy, and Clarabelle dressed as Winifred, Sarah, and Mary Sanderson, and others.
And along with the spooky fun, you’ll still get to check out the same destinations, dining experiences, and other offerings of a typical Disney cruise.

2023 Dates
In 2023, Halloween on the High Seas will be featured on select sail dates for cruises departing from Miami, Port Canaveral, San Diego, and New York.
Those cruises will be available from September through Halloween. When searching for one of these cruises, look for a designation on the itinerary that says “Halloween on the High Seas.”
