The Best Character Breakfasts In Disney World

Do you like character breakfasts in Disney World? Sometimes a character breakfast is a perfect way to end a Disney World trip (especially if it’s on the day you’re leaving the resort).

It’s also a great way to start any morning at Disney World because what’s better than getting some delicious Mickey waffles while MEETING Mickey, the princesses, and other iconic characters? But which character breakfasts are the best? We’re breaking it down for you.

Breakfast à la Art with Mickey & Friends at Topolino’s Terrace

There’s a reason that this breakfast is nearly impossible to get advance dining reservations for. First, Topolino’s Terrace is on the rooftop of Disney’s Riviera Resort. So you’ve got a great view. PLUS you get characters dressed up in outfits unique to that location (they’re all dressed up as artists!). You’ll find Mickey as a painter…

…Minnie as a poet…

…Donald as a sculptor…

…and Daisy as a dancer.

The breakfast food here is also unique to Topolino’s. You’ll be able to dine on breakfast dishes inspired by the Riviera, including Quiche Gruyère, with
House-made Pancetta, Roasted Potatoes, Field Greens, and Lemon Vinaigrette. There’s also French Toast Brûlée with Seasonal Compote and choice of Smoked Bacon, Ham, Sausage, or Plant-based Sausage.

The Sour Cream Waffle is also a favorite of ours. It’s made with Roasted Apple, Chantilly, Orange-Maple Syrup, and served with choice of Smoked Bacon, Ham, Sausage, or Plant-based Sausage.

However, if it’s Mickey waffles you want, those are available, too. You’ll also find a variety of alcoholic and non-alcoholic breakfast cocktails on the menu.  Breakfast is one set price and includes a basket of pastries and bread, as well as your choice of entree.

Donald’s Dining Safari at Tusker House Restaurant

Head on over to Disney’s Animal Kingdom for a WILD breakfast with Donald and friends at Tusker House Restaurant. You’ll get to hang out with some of your favorite Disney characters in their safari outfits, including Donald…

…Daisy…

…and Mickey.

This is a buffet, so you can indulge in unique all-you-can-eat items like Zebra Coffee Cakes, Guava Cream Cheese Danishes, Mickey Waffles, Simba Waffles, a variety of breakfast meats, and more.

The best part, though, is all-you-can-drink POG Juice (it’s called Jungle Juice here, but it’s still that same delicious combination of passion fruit, orange, and guava juice). You can also order some specialty cocktails for an additional price.

Best Friends Breakfast featuring Lilo & Stitch at ‘Ohana

‘Ohana at Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort is already one of Disney World’s most popular restaurants, but for breakfast, the experience of eating there gets turned up a notch. That’s because you’ll get to eat breakfast with characters you can’t meet at any other dining experience in Disney World. You’ll get to hang out with Lilo…

The food here is served family-style with an all-you-can-enjoy Breakfast Skillet that includes Scrambled Eggs, Pork Breakfast Sausage Links, Hawaiian-style Ham topped with Pineapple Compote, Fried Island-style Potatoes, Mickey-shaped Waffles, and Biscuits.

You’ll also get fresh fruits, as well as Freshly made Pineapple-Coconut Breakfast Bread — which you will certainly want more servings of.

Cinderella’s Royal Table

How about a dining experience with some of your favorite Disney princesses? What if that dining experience was also INSIDE Cinderella Castle? How can you refuse? This is a popular character breakfast because of all that, and you’ll have a chance to spot Cinderella…

…Snow White…

…Aurora…

and more! The princesses rotate out, so you’ll never know who you might spot during your meal.

The food here is a bit more elevated than a standard Disney breakfast. You’ll be able to enjoy assorted breakfast pastries, along with your choice of items like a Baked Quiche with Goat Cheese, Spinach, and Mushroom Quiche with a dollop of Goat Cheese Cream served with Arugula and Roasted Bell Peppers. Or maybe you’d rather try the Shrimp and Grits, made with Smoked Gouda Cheese Grits, Tomato Jam, Fried Egg, Buttered Shrimp, and Garlic Baguette.

Another solid choice is the Caramel Apple-stuffed French Toast, which is Decadent French Toast stuffed with Sweet Cream Cheese and Spiced Apples drizzled with Caramel Sauce and served with Bacon.

Disney Junior Play n’ Dine at Hollywood & Vine Breakfast

If you have little ones, they’ll most certainly want to have breakfast at Hollywood & Vine in Disney’s Hollywood Studios, where they can meet some of their favorite Disney Junior characters like Fancy Nancy…

…Goofy…

…Vampirina…

…and Doc Mstuffins.

Breakfast is served family-style, but it’s all-you-care-to-enjoy, so you and your kids can stuff your faces with a delicious basket of pastries, as well as a choice of entree, like the Hazelnut Spread-stuffed French Toast, made with Hazelnut Spread, Bananas, and Caramel Bananas Foster Syrup served with choice of Bacon or Country Sausage.

You’ll also find an omelet station here, as well as pancakes, eggs, and a Toasted Open-faced Salmon Bagel made with Hand-sliced House-cured Salmon on Toasted Bagel with Cream Cheese, Shaved Red Onions, Sliced Tomatoes, and Capers.

The only downside of these being the BEST character breakfasts in Disney World is that reservations go FAST for these spots. Your best bet is to try to get those reservations made 60 days before the first day of your trip. If all else fails, you can also try to get on the Mobile Dine Walk-Up Waitlist the day of.
