Howdy, toys!
We have big news for those of you who planning visits to Andy’s Backyard — otherwise known as Toy Story Land in Hollywood Studios at Disney World. Among the awesome attractions like Alien Swirling Saucers, Slinky Dog Dash, and Toy Story Mania, delicious food awaits!
Previously, the only dining that was available in Toy Story Land was Woody’s Lunch Box, a quick service eatery that specialized in sandwiches, adult drinks, and delicious dessert tarts. However, as some of you may already know, a new restaurant has been added to Toy Story Land, and construction is almost complete!
Roundup Rodeo BBQ is set to open on March 23rd, 2023, and is a table-service restaurant that focuses on the flavors of classic southwestern barbecue — Woody’s favorite! You can make dining reservations for Roundup Rodeo BBQ NOW!
Earlier this morning we were able to make a reservation but later this morning, we haven’t seen much availability. You may want to call to see if you aren’t able to find any openings online. We suggest booking your reservations soon, because these reservations for new restaurants fill up FAST!
This will be a great eatery for the whole family as menu items range from house-smoked meats to sides like watermelon salad and mac & cheese. The inside of the restaurant is constructed to look like the rest of Toy Story Land — shrinking you down to the size of a toy with larger than life props such as Tinkertoys, board game pieces, and Christmas lights.
We’re so excited to try out this new BBQ joint, and if it tastes anything like Woody’s Lunch Box, we know it won’t disappoint us. If you’re new here, we post restaurant and snack news, reviews, and updates so make sure to follow along for when we finally get our hands on some of this food!

I have been days trying to get a reservation for April 19th with no luck. Any recommendations?
Hi Jeanne! The only thing you can really do is just keep trying as often as you can. People start canceling their reservations closer to the date, but with this being a brand new restaurant they may be more likely to hold on to them for now. It never hurts to check though!
We made our dinner reservations and a little bit confused with the “family style dinner” offering versus the “buffet type offering”…Is the family style offering a one time served meal with no refills and if so…can you request more or less of a particular item or request a certain cut of the chicken ?
Hi Rob! In the other restaurants that offer family-style dining you can ask for more of what you want. We will be doing a review of this one on opening day and will find out then if it’s the same. 🙂
