Mardi Gras celebrations are in full swing over at Universal Orlando.

We were there for the first day of the celebration which will last all the way until April 16th. We saw everything there is to experience like the tribute store, all the food, and of course, the entertainment. We made sure to catch the parade so we could give you the first look at this year’s parade!
We got ourselves a good spot and settled in to see the parade.

This year’s parade theme is the “Mythical Realms of Mardi Gras,” which features six NEW floats of dragons, phoenixes, unicorns, and more. You can also catch beads from the floats. If you’d rather be the one throwing the beads, you can purchase the Mardi Gras Float Ride and Dine Experience, which will give you a three-course meal and a reservation on one of those floats. Let the parade begin!

One of the floats was what looked like a Norse dragon on a Viking longship.

Between floats, you’ll find some entertainers in dazzling costumes.

Of course, you can’t have a Mardi Gras parade in Florida without a Gator Float.

You’ll also see traditional Mardi Gras floats

This float pays homage to Mardi Gras music, aka JAZZ.

This float looks like it came straight out of the fairy realm.

One float was dedicated to rainbow unicorns.

The parade lights up the night with vibrant colors!

One float is dedicated to the phoenix (Fawkes, is that you?).

Needless to say, the parade is QUITE the spectacle.

This one looks like a mythical sea dragon.

We love how the entertainers are decked out for the parade.

You can’t have Mardi Gras without a Jester float.

How fun it is to watch the entertainers on stilts in their bright costumes!

In addition to the parade, you can also experience live concerts, afterparties on select nights, and so much more. As always, stay tuned to AllEars for all the latest Universal news!
