Do you hear that? It’s jazz music and the sound of people celebrating in the streets. It’s the sound of Mardi Gras!

We’re LIVE at Universal Orlando taking in all the Mardi Gras party vibes, checking out all the amazing food, and enjoying all the fun entertainment. So we’re inviting you to tag along as we let the good times roll!

Atmosphere

Universal KNOWS how to get you in the Mardi Gras spirit from the time you first step foot on the property. You’ll see lots of fun Mardi Gras-themed decor.

We almost feel like we’re in the middle of Mardi Gras in New Orleans.

Some of the decor pays tribute to the music of Mardi Gras…

…while other decorations are ALL about food!

There are also some unique photo ops set up!

Food

Of course, a Mardi Gras celebration would be NOTHING without the food. We saw some food kiosks set up.

And we checked some of that food out!! We started with Jambalaya— does it get any more Mardi Gras than that?

We washed it down with a drink called a Category 5 Punch, which we got in the available Souvenir Cup.

Of course, we had to get those Mardi Gras staples, King Cake…

…and Beignets!

Entertainment

The Mardi Gras Celebration also features some amazing entertainment. First, we checked out the EPIC Mythical Realms of Mardi Gras parade. The parade features SO many amazing floats.

This year brought some new floats, too, devoted to mythical creatures like the Phoenix…

…and Unicorns.

While we were roaming around, we ran into the one and only “ghost with the most” who was also celebrating Mardi Gras — it’s Beetlejuice!

There is also a concert series and we got to see the LEGENDARY Patti LaBelle performing live!

Merchandise

This year’s celebration brings a newly-revamped Mardi Gras Tribute Store, where guests can shop for themed merchandise. We’ll be covering all the merchandise later, too!
