BIG Construction Changes at Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort

The construction in Disney World is never-ending.

Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort

Now that Splash Mountain is officially closed and is being rethemed to Tiana’s Bayou Adventure, another construction project has been added to the list. Sometimes it’s hard to see progress on a project when small things are changing, but that’s not the case with the Polynesian Village Resort construction anymore — BIG changes are happening!

Since we last updated on this project, something big has happened — one of the buildings is officially underway!

Construction from February 2nd

Compared to what we saw last month when there was a lot of dirt moved and vehicles on the property, but no major progress on the building itself. Now it’s clear to see the changes that are happening on this site.

The other side of the site

There are also a lot of materials on-site as well, meaning they could be used soon. It’s hard to realize just how big this construction site is until you see it for yourself from the Monorail.

Piping everywhere

Here’s a view of the construction from walking around the resort.

It’s great to see this project really come to life, especially since it meant the discontinuation of the Spirit of Aloha Dinner Show, which many people were big fans of. We’ll be sure to keep an eye on this construction as it develops, so stay tuned to AllEars!
