Genie+ has been a controversial change for Disney fans.
The paid skip-the-line service replaced the free FastPass system and there have been many changes to the service since it debuted. Disney recently introduced flexible pricing depending on the date and now there has been another change to Genie+ at Disney World.
Disney just announced that starting in the next few months, anyone who buys Genie+ will also get complimentary PhotoPass photos taken at attractions. That means if you like that family photo of your group on Dinosaur, it will be included (as long as you bought Genie+).
Attraction photos are taken on many Disney World rides including Test Track, Space Mountain, Slinky Dog Dash, Expedition Everest, Dinosaur, Buzz Lightyear’s Space Ranger Spin, and more.
Disney said an exact date for the launch of complimentary photos will be announced at another time. We’ll be sure to let you know when this change will happen!

The headline of this article is very misleading. PhotoPass photos are not included in Genie + at Disney World, just the attraction photos, for PhotoPass photos you will still need memory maker or you will need to purchase PhotoPass photos from the Disney World photographers. However I believe all PhotoPass photos are included with Genie + at Disneyland.
It stinks that reservations are needed months in advance, however it’s not possible to buy Genie+ till the morning you go in!
Photopass ride pictures with Genie. Costs them just about nothing and it’s at least something useful for people. Honestly ,I’d like to have seen them go the extra mile and make day’s photopass downloads free with a day’s purchase of Genie+. Get all of your digital pictures included.
