Universal Studios just dropped BIG NEWS for Nintendo fans!
Universal previously announced that Super Nintendo World would open at Universal Studios Hollywood sometime in 2023, and now we have the official opening DATE!
Super Nintendo World will open at Universal Studios Hollywood on February 17th, 2023.
Super Nintendo World is already open at Universal Studios Japan, where it’s very popular, and it’s also coming to the parks in Orlando and Singapore sometime in the future. For Orlando, it’ll be part of the 4th theme park Epic Universe (opening in 2025).
When Super Nintendo World opens in Hollywood, it’ll have a new ride called Battle Team Bowzer, where guests “put on the special goggles and battle Team Bowser on iconic Mario Kart courses alongside Mario, Luigi, and Princess Peach.” Universal says the ride will use “cutting-edge technology” and allow guests to “collect coins and throw shells to win the Golden Cup.”
The area will also have some dining, including Toadstool Cafe, which brings guests “in to indulge in fun, tasty dishes crafted by Chef Toad and enjoy playful scenery of the Mushroom Kingdom from the windows.”
There will also be character meet-and-greets with Mario and other Nintendo characters. If you want to check out Super Nintendo World when it opens in February 2023, you can buy tickets now at the Universal Studios Hollywood website.
