Tropical Storm Nicole is set to impact Florida later this week, with a hurricane warning issued along the eastern coast and a tropical storm warning for much of central Florida.

Ahead of the storm, Disney World has made several closures, including Typhoon Lagoon and the mini golf courses. Along with Disney World, the Orlando Airport is closely monitoring the storm.
The Orlando Airport tweeted out an update about Tropical Storm Nicole ahead of its arrival in Florida. In their update, they share that they “continue to monitor” the status of Tropical Storm Nicole. They continue that they will keep travelers updated as they learn more about the storm.
We continue to monitor the status of Tropical Storm Nicole. Meetings are being held today & tomorrow with airport leadership, airline partners, the National Weather Service & the FAA. Updates will be posted as received. Please contact your airline in regards to your travel plans.

Earlier today, National Hurricane Center upgraded Nicole from a Subtropical Storm to a Tropical Storm Nicole.  Â

Earlier this year, we saw Orlando Airport close for a few days due to Hurricane Ian. Additionally, we saw Disney World theme parks shut down for Hurricane Ian, and we could see the same happen if Tropical Storm Nicole poses a significant threat to guest and employee safety.
