Apple TV+ and Apple Music to Get Price INCREASE for the First Time

It seems like everywhere you look, prices are increasing.

Not only is it expensive to travel, but Disney recently raised prices across the parks on things like food, water, ears, lightsabers, and special photo shoot sessions. On top of that streaming services are increasing prices and adding extra costs for things like password sharing. Now, Apple is getting in on the price increases.

According to Variety, Apple is increasing prices for Apple Music and Apple TV+ subscription services for the first time. The price of the Apple One bundle which includes Apple Music, Apple TV+, Apple Arcade, iCloud+, Apple News+, and Apple Fitness+ is also going up.

Apple Music is increasing from $9.99 to $10.99 per month on the individual plan. The family plan is increasing from $14.99 to $16.99 and allows access for six accounts.

Apple TV+ is increasing to $6.99 — a 40% increase from the $4.99 that the service debuted with in 2019. The Apple One bundle will increase $2 from $14.95 to $16.95 per month on the individual plan.

An Apple TV+ representative said, “We introduced Apple TV+ at a very low price because we started with just a few shows and movies. Three years later, Apple TV+ is home to an extensive selection of award-winning and broadly acclaimed series, feature films, documentaries, and kids and family entertainment from the world’s most creative storytellers.”

As far as Apple Music goes, the representative said, “The change to Apple Music is due to an increase in licensing costs, and in turn, artists and songwriters will earn more for the streaming of their music. We also continue to add innovative features that make Apple Music the world’s best listening experience.”
