Hurricane Ian Arrives in Florida
Prior to Hurricane Ian’s arrival, Orlando International Airport closed, as well as Disney World. After the hurricane made landfall, it made its way through the rest of Florida, dumping record amounts of rain on Disney World. Eventually, Ian was downgraded to a tropical storm.
Disney World shared reopening details, and planned to “resume theme park and Disney Springs operations in a phased approach starting on Friday, September 30th.”
