The Halloween season is here at Disney World, and the Holiday seasons is fast approaching as summer comes to a close.

Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party is underway in Disney World, and we have lots of news regarding what’s coming to Disney World for the holidays. Disney World will still be celebrating its 50th Anniversary throughout both seasons as well, as the celebration lasts for 18 months. We asked our readers if they’d rather spend Halloween or the holidays in Disney World, and the answer may surprise you!
It was a very, very close race, but it appears that…

The Holidays
The holidays won the competition! Many readers just shared that the holidays were their preferred holiday to spend in Disney World, but others gave some insight as to why. A reason we saw a few times was that it’s cooler than it is during the Halloween season!

Despite misconceptions, Disney can get cold, especially at night in the winter months. Guests also shared that they enjoy the park’s decorations more than Halloween, in part because the entire resort, including hotels and all the parks, gets in the spirit.

Guests also shared that during the holidays, there’s a lot more to see and experience at the parks, such as the Candlelight Processional that happens in EPCOT.

Halloween
Halloween was not far behind at all in this race, however. A few guests shared that one of the biggest perks for them is Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party and all its offerings — especially the free candy!

Additionally, guests shared that visiting during Halloween allows them time to hop over to Universal to experience Halloween Horror Nights as well.

We Can’t Decide or It Depends!
And like many of you reading this, there were many readers who just couldn’t decide between the two holidays! Some others said that which holiday they prefer depends on certain factors, like if they have their kids with them (if they do, they would do Christmas; if not, Halloween all the way), or if they’re in Disney World or Disneyland. One guest shared they would choose Disneyland for Halloween and Disney World for the holidays.

Another reader shared a brilliant idea — since the parks have to change from Halloween to the holidays overnight, if you plan your trip where that night falls between two of your days, you can experience both!

If you’re a holiday lover, be sure to see the dates for the Festival of the Holidays. Stay tuned to AllEars, and we’ll keep you updated about all the Halloween and holiday news coming out of the parks!
