UPDATE on Terminal C Opening at Orlando International Airport

The travel industry may be something of a mess right now, but something new and exciting is on the horizon.

At least, travelers who fly in and out of Orlando International Airport (MCO) have something to look forward to — the brand-new Terminal C that has been in the making for quite a while now. This $3 billion project was supposed to open today, September 19th, 2022, and we were there to check it all out. Except, it turns out that MCO’s Terminal C is actually NOT open to the public just yet — and we’ve got all the details.

Orlando International Airport (MCO) is known for being one of the busiest in the state of Florida, so it’s no wonder that they decided to build Terminal C addition. Not only will it host 11 different airlines, but is also home to several restaurants and shopping locations.

A while back, MCO announced that Terminal C would be opening on September 19th, 2022, so we headed on over to check it out! But, when we got there, we were surprised to find that it wasn’t open to the public just yet.

We were able to follow the traffic signs for Terminal C and even park, but when we walked up to the entrance, security wouldn’t let us in.

They politely informed us that Terminal C doesn’t open to the public until tomorrow, and that “the terminal’s opening will actually be taking place over a two-week period that begins on September 19th.”

So, it looks like we’ll have to wait just one more day for the opening of the new terminal, and based on what they told us it sounds like it will be opening in phases — but we’ll let you know of any updates!
