Everything You Need to Know About the Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse Sequel!

Before Marvel entered the multiverse of madness, we were introduced to the Spider-Verse thanks to Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse.

When it first debuted in 2018, the film was a hit and even won an Oscar for Best Animated Feature. We can’t say we were surprised when it was announced that Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse would be getting a sequel, and now, NEW details have been shared about the upcoming film. We’re sharing everything you need to know about the newest Spider-Man movie!

Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse is set to be released exclusively in theaters on June 2nd, 2023. We’ve already caught a first look at the trailer for the new film, and we can’t wait to finally see it!

So far, we know that Across the Spider-Verse will be split into multiple parts, with this film being dubbed “Part One.” It looks like a few familiar faces are set to return, including Miles Morales and Gwen Stacy.

According to Comicbook.com, we can also expect over 240 characters in the film — about 200 more than in the first. Issa Rae has signed on to voice Jessica Drew, a Black woman who has similar powers to Spider-Man and gets around on a motorcycle. We also know that The Vulture (voiced by Jorma Taccone), a classic Spider-Man villain, will appear in the film.

It was also recently announced that Jason Schwartzman will be voicing The Spot — a villain who uses black spot “wormholes” on his body to disarm and disorient his enemies.
