One of Disney’s Magical Express Replacements Announces a Big Donation to Make-a-Wish

Disney World has seen a great deal of change over the last few years.

One of the parts of a Disney trip we had to say goodbye to this year was Disney’s Magical Express, a bus service that transported guests from the Orlando Airport to Disney Resort Hotels. But now, there’s The Sunshine Flyer — and while it’s not free, it does offer much of the same services and amenities that the Magical Express once did. And apparently, guests are taking advantage of these services because the Sunshine Flyer has raised six figures for charity!

Since launching in February, The Sunshine Flyer has surpassed its goal of $100,000 in donations to the Make-A-Wish Foundation of Central and Northern Florida.

Upon launching, The Sunshine Flyer had set a goal to donate 50% of revenue in the first 50 days of service to the charity. This goal was set in honor of Disney World’s 50th Anniversary.

Remarkably, the new bus service surpassed its original goal and raised over $279,000! The Sunshine Flyer’s donation will grant at least 28 wishes for children with critical illnesses.
