We Tested Out a QUICKER Way to Meet Characters in Disney World

Since Disney World reopened, it has continued bringing back more entertainment throughout the parks, including some classic shows, characters, and experiences! But a lot has happened in the past few years — mainly the introduction of the new Disney Genie service.

If you’re looking to meet one of your favorite characters without waiting in a standby line, you might want to listen up.

In case you weren’t aware, guests can book a return time to meet select Disney characters through Disney Genie+. Let’s take a look at how this process works!

You can now use the Lightning Lane at this meet and greet location!

First, hop onto the My Disney Experience app and visit the Disney Genie Service page. If you purchased Genie+ for the day, you will be able to see all the current attractions and experiences available for you to reserve. Here, you can reserve a time to meet Mickey and the Princesses in Princess Fairytale Hall in the Magic Kingdom.

As you can see, Disney has signs indicating all the locations that offer Lightning Lane access.

This is in Town Square Theater on Main Street, U.S.A.

Over in Fantasyland, Princess Fairytale Hall also has similar signage.

To the Lightning Lane!

We arrived shortly after our Genie+ return time and made it through the queue in no time! Mickey was happy to see us! We grabbed a selfie, took some pictures, and headed out! He is currently in his magician outfit.
