BREAKING: Jiko Has a Reopening Date in Disney World

It’s been almost two years since Disney World’s historic closure and reopening, but there are a lot of things that still haven’t returned.

Animal Kingdom Lodge

This includes many restaurants, although it looks like Disney World is getting ready to reopen many VERY soon, including one very underrated dining spot at Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge.

That restaurant is Jiko — The Cooking Place, and if you’ve been wanting to dine there, you don’t have to wait much longer. Disney World announced that Jiko will reopen on February 17th.

Jiko

Jiko is a beautiful dining spot that serves up African fusion cuisine like flatbreads, delicious soups, and unique entrees. It also has an excellent South African wine list — this is date night dining at its best. However, we don’t know what kind of changes the menu might have when it reopens, but Disney World did mention that guests should try the Seafood Tagine, “filled with prawns, scallops, squid, and Littleneck clams.”

Additionally, Cape Town Lounge and Wine Bar (which is the lounge for Jiko) is set to reopen on February 17th, according to the Disney World website!

You’ll be able to make Advance Dining Reservations for Jiko as of January 20th, so mark your calendars if you’ve been wanting to dine there! And we’ll keep an eye out for any menu updates before the restaurant reopens and let you know, so stay tuned.
