Disney Cruise Line has been hard at work bringing their newest ship to life — the Disney Wish!
The Disney Wish will officially set sail for the FIRST time on June 9th, 2022, and guests who are on board will be treated to a bunch of first-of-its-kind experiences. We’ve been sharing all of the latest construction updates (including a first look at the rooms!) and now we’ve got a look at the newest addition!
Wondering what Disney character will be leading the way once the ship sets sail next year? Well, Walt Disney Imagineering shared a timelapse video of the entire painting process that recently took place on the Disney Wish! And, it looks like Captain Minnie Mouse will be right up front on the bow.
The filigree medallion painting is meant to be a tribute to the “golden age of cruising” while also adding a bit of the Disney touch thanks to the bright yellow color which is inspired by Mickey Mouse.
The Disney Wish is set to include tons of details that are brand new to the Disney Cruise line including a Star Wars Lounge, the first Disney attraction at sea, a Frozen dinner show, and more.
