We’re about six months away from the maiden voyage of Disney Cruise Line’s newest ship — the Disney Wish!
We’ve been sharing all the details on itineraries, staterooms, dining, shows, and everything in between that will be available for guests who set sail on the new ship in 2022. And, as construction continues to progress Disney has shared a behind-the-scenes look inside!
The Disney Wish is currently being constructed at Meyer Werft shipyard in Papenburg, Germany, and it looks like the staterooms are coming together!
A Disney Imagineer shared that the 1,254 rooms were actually all constructed off-site on an assembly line, where everything from the furniture and walls…
…to the artwork and lighting was installed on a conveyor belt.
Then the staterooms were placed on the ship individually with a crane lift to bring what once was simply concept art to life on the Disney Wish!
Of course, you might not be spending too much time inside your room when you’re on board with all the one-of-a-kind dining experiences, a Star Wars-themed lounge, family activities, and more, but it sure is exciting to see the ship coming together!
