If there’s one way to celebrate the start of a new month, it’s with another NEW Gideon’s Bakehouse treat!

While we’ve recently seen Halloween themed treats and even limited edition items that were available for only 2 days, there’s another newbie at the bakery that you won’t want to miss!
As Halloween has wrapped up in Disney World, Gideon’s Bakehouse is celebrating another holiday that’s NOT Christmas — Día de los Muertos (aka Day of the Dead). And, the bakery has rolled out a new cookie of the month in its honor at Disney Springs!

The Calavera Cookie (AKA Chocolate Churro Cookie) is made with cinnamon sugar, ancho, and cayenne for a sweet and spicy combination to go with the Dulce de Leche filling in the middle. The top even comes with a blend of chocolate chips, including Mexican Stone Ground Chocolate!

The cookie itself wasn’t overly sweet, as the rich chocolate and kick of spice balanced each other out well. Plus, the Dulce de Leche filling added nice cinnamon and caramel notes to the cookie (making it super soft and moist). If you’re not a fan of spicy sweets then you may not be a big fan, but we found that the spice was pretty mild overall.

Aside from the cookie, you can also find another new treat for November on the menu ahead of Thanksgiving! The Pumpkin Caramel Double Frosted Cake is made with pumpkin and caramel buttercreams over a vanilla cinnamon cake and will only be available in Disney Springs on the weekend.

We’ll give you a look at all the other holiday goodies coming to the parks soon! Stay tuned with All Ears for the latest Disney entertainment and news!
