Create Your Own Mickey Pumpkin With NEW Carving Templates From Disney!

Pumpkins are an iconic Halloween decoration and, at Disney World, you can spot a lot of them throughout the parks during the fall season (and they even have a 50th-anniversary touch this year!).

Whether you’re headed into the parks for Halloween or spending it at home, carving pumpkins is a fun way to celebrate. And, if you’re a big fan of runDisney events, then you’ll want to check out the newest pumpkin carving templates from Disney!

runDisney has released TWO pumpkin carving templates that you can use to show off your love for BOTH Disney and running this Halloween!

For this project, here’s what you’ll need:

Pumpkin(s)
Pumpkin Carving Kit (scooper, knives, etc.)
Tape
runDisney Pumpin Carving Templates — a running Mickey and/or a running shoe

Once you’ve gathered all the supplies, go ahead and download and print the template you chose. There’s one with Mickey running…

…and another with just a running shoe.

You’ll need to tape the template to the pumpkin, wherever you want the carving to go, and then start by poking holes all along the outline of the shapes (the dark part of the template will be what you cut out).

Once you’ve got holes outlining the design, pull off the paper and carve out the shapes by following the dots you created.

Pro tip: Start out with the smallest shapes and details, and push out the shapes gently as you carve. And, if you accidentally cut out something that you didn’t mean to, you can always use a toothpick to stick it back in its place.
