We’ve had a lot of Disney news this week, and in case you missed it we’re breaking it ALL down!

Pricing Revealed for Galactic Starcruiser, aka the Star Wars Hotel

Disney World made some big announcements this week for its upcoming Star Wars hotel, including some details about pricing. Pricing for the 2-day 2-night interactive space “cruise” will begin at $749 per person, and rates will vary based on the number of guests you have traveling with you.

Disney also dropped the very first commercial for the hotel-that-isn’t-a-hotel, outlined different room types, and even offered up a sample itinerary. Yes, it’s expensive, but it does seem like you get a lot for the price.

Disneyland’s Magic Key

Last year, Disney announced that the Disneyland Annual Pass Program was going away and would be replaced with a new program. This week, Disney released details about that program, which it is calling Magic Key.

The new program will include four different ticket options including the Dream Key, Believe Key, Enchant Key, and Imagine Key — each key is priced differently and comes with its own tier of benefits.

Keys will go on sale starting August 25th. Guests who purchase a Key within the first 66 days will receive an exclusive welcome package with a premium branded pin, celebratory button, magnet, and more. In the parks, Magic Key holders will be able to access a limited-time experience at Starcade in Tomorrowland beginning on September 1st!

Disney World To Resume Annual Pass Sales

Speaking of Annual Passes, Disney World announced that it would start selling Annual Passes again before the 50th Celebration begins on October 1st.

Annual Pass sales will resume soon!

Disney announced it would share more details about the program soon. The company stopped selling Annual Passes last year when the resort reopened.

Registration Open For Remy’s Ratatouille Advent

Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure Previews

Select Disney World guests can now register to ride Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure at EPCOT early! Both DVC Members and Annual Passholders can now register to preview the ride on one of three dates: September 5th, 17th, and 20th.

Reservations Open for Service Replacing Magical Express

With Disney World’s Magical Express going away at the end of the year, we’ve been patiently waiting for Mears to announced details about its new service Mears Connect. Well, we finally got that information! Mears Connect will shuttle guests to and from the Orlando International Airport and Disney World resorts for an introductory rate of $16 one-way and $32 round-trip.

Guests can now register their shuttles on Mears Connect via its website for Disney World stays on or after January 1, 2022.
