Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort reopened today!
With the reopened resort came another return that we’re super excited for: Trader Sam’s Grog Grotto! It’s open again, but there’s a twist to how you can get inside today!
Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort has been partially opened for a while now, with Villas and Bungalows available for guests to stay in and ‘Ohana opening recently for breakfast and dinner! Now, the hotel is officially reopened, including more eating spots and the newly decorated Moana rooms!
Along with the rest of the resort,Trader Sam’s Grog Grotto has also reopened! We headed down for a drink, and we found out that the Grog Grotto is now operating on a Virtual Queue system.
Guests will check in with a Cast Member at the entrance to Grog Grotto.
You’ll receive a text confirming your entrance to the queue, and then you can explore the Polynesian Resort while you wait for a second text letting you know it’s your turn to go inside. Then you can check in with a Cast Member and head in for a drink!
There were a lot of people waiting to get in to Trader Sam’s Grog Grotto when we stopped by for its reopening day. It’s always been a popular spot, so make sure to get into that virtual queue early!
