The Disney news grind never stops, and today we’ve got quite a few updates to share with you!

During today’s J.P. Morgan Global Technology, Media And Communications Conference, Walt Disney Company CEO Bob Chapek shared details about the parks, resorts, and beyond.
Chapek noted that the increased benefits of Mobile Order, Contactless Check-in, Virtual Queues, and more will likely impact their “prospects going into the future.”

As the parks have been open, the use of features like Mobile Order has skyrocketed around the Disney properties. Guests have also been other My Disney Experience features, like Contactless Check-in at hotels, which has garnered both positive guest benefits as well as cost benefits for the company.

Chapek also stated that the Disney Parks have used Virtual Queues at spots like Rise of the Resistance in the past. However, moving forward, they now have the opportunity to explore additional Virtual Queues to further boost guest experience.

We’ll keep an eye out for how virtual experiences may be changing the parks over the next year and beyond. And, be sure to stay tuned with AllEars for the Disney updates you need to know!

Ok, I know I am small minority but not tech savvy as a senior…use my phone for emergencies mostly..mobile ordering out of my ability as are many other things being done that make using phone necessary…I have been over 20 times flying from NY but now it looks like Disney is no longer a place for me..
Of course mobile ordering is skyrocketing, most counter service restaurants REQUIRE it. Why would it not skyrocket? So long spontaneity, most in my family never know what they want to eat 2- 4 hours ahead of time when on vacay, one daughter goes to the same place and spends 5+ minutes looking at the menu and then orders the same thing over and over.
I think Festival of the Lion King would benefit from a virtual queue!
Forget Virtual Queues, bring back FASTPASS.
Richard, I agree with you.
