The vaccine rollout is continuing across the country. In Florida, all adults ages 18 and up will be eligible to receive the vaccine starting this Monday, April 5th.
For certain union Cast Members at Disney World, there is now added incentive to receive the vaccine!
Unite Here Local 362, a union representing many of Disney World’s Cast Members, has shared on their Facebook page that the company will prove four hours of pay for receiving the vaccine.
In order to receive compensation, Cast Members will have to have had completed the vaccine between January 1st and September 30th, 2021. This would mean either receiving one dose of a single-shot vaccine or both doses of the Pfizer or Moderna vaccine.
In addition, Cast Members will not receive attendance notations if there is a scheduling conflict between their vaccine appointment and their shift, so long as there is advance notice given.
More details will be released in the coming days when it comes to accessing these benefits.
Update: According to the Orlando Sentinel, a Disney spokesperson has confirmed that Cast Members who are fully vaccinated by September 30th will become eligible for a one-time payment equal to 4 hours of pay.
We’ll keep you updated if we hear of any other union announcements regarding compensation for Cast Members for receiving the vaccine!

Sounds like great incentive! I wish my work would’ve paid me to get my shots – but I’m lucky enough as it to be one of the first in my town to get fully vaccinated.
Seems odd wording. Looks to me like a number of companies are doing is basically saying they can get it during work hours and they’ll be paid.
Wow….ridiculous.
