With several movies, tons of comics, and lots of new TV series coming soon, The Avengers are some of Marvel’s, and Disney’s, most popular characters.
Fans can’t seem to get enough of these characters and the actors who play them, and now we have some (hopefully) good news for those who love Chris Evans’ portrayal of Captain America. It seems that the star may currently be in talks to reprise his role as the superhero in a future Marvel project!
Deadline reported this morning that Chris Evans is set to come back for at least one Marvel property and possibly another film. It’s unlikely to be a Captain America installment, and will probably be more similar to the role of Tony Stark and Robert Downey, Jr. after Iron Man 3.
Marvel has yet to comment on this news, but after Avengers: Endgame, Evans claimed that he had no plans to return to the role. The goal was instead to pass the shield off to another character, allowing Chris Evans to step away.
There are many possibilities for how Evans’ character could be included in the Marvel universe again, especially when you take a look at options like Disney+. Many Marvel characters are getting their own series, and Marvel has been no stranger to bringing back characters outside of the timeline, like with the new Black Widow movie.
