Over the past few months, Florida has been making moves towards reopening different entertainment venues state-wide.

Along with the theme parks welcoming guests back, movie theatres have been open for guests to watch classics, and restaurants have been serving up meals in-house and to-go.
As Florida continues to make shifts in its state operations during this time, WFTV 9 has reported that an emergency order will be allowing bars to operate at 50% capacity starting Monday, September 14th. When the order is put in place, bars will be able to open with half their indoor capacity, use bar service for seated customers, and implement outdoor seating with social distancing efforts.

The Department of Business and Professional Regulation has made this decision in accordance with Governor Ron DeSantis. DBPR Secretary Halsey Beshears has stated that, “In meetings with hundreds of owners of bars and breweries across the state, I’ve heard their stories of struggle, and I’ve observed their serious commitment to making health and safety a continuing priority in their businesses.

It’s time that we take this step, and it’s vital that we start moving forward with this sector of our hospitality industry who have endured one of the toughest paths for sustaining a business during this pandemic.”

Multiple bars in Disney World closed back in June as restrictions were originally placed. However, as the bar reopening order begins, we’ll check back to see how Disney World’s locations are affected on property!
