It seems like just yesterday that Disney World closed (wow, the months have flown by), but now the parks will be re-opening in just a month!

Disney’s Animal Kingdom will be one of the first parks to welcome guests alongside Magic Kingdom on July 11th. While we’ve been keeping you up-to-date on all the things happening around the parks, like the Cinderella Castle redesign and Disney’s Grand Floridian Walkway construction, there’s more construction close to completion at Animal Kingdom.
Today we saw some brand new images of the latest update to Disney’s Animal Kingdom.

In some aerial shots from twitter user @bioreconstruct, we have a first look at the new security checkpoint being built at Animal Kingdom’s entrance.
Although we’ve seen construction on this area for a while close to the parking lots, it looks like there has been a lot of progress on the bag check spot.

Next to the security checkpoint, you can also see another new area for the Disney trams when they are used in the parks again.

Since construction has been happening in this area for a bit of time, we’re looking forward to having a larger bag check area at Animal Kingdom for quicker entry into the parks!
