Riviera Resort opens on December 16, and as that exciting day draws nearer, we’re learning more about Walt Disney World’s newest DVC Resort!

The new Disney Vacation Club resort is bringing with it a feel of the European Riviera. We’re excited to try out the new dining like Topolino’s Terrace and Primo Piatto and to see the interesting architectural elements.
And today we got another hint at the theming as Disney released a first look at the Riviera Resort Cast Member costumes.
The Cast Member costumes at Riviera Resort are themed with Mediterranean style in mind. Expect to see bright colors, clean accents, and a polished but fun look to the clothes.
The colors featured in the costumes are a rich palette with a range of blues, whites, and oranges as the central colors. These echo the colors we saw in Disney’s first look at the Resort room decor as well.
We’re happy to see some classic patterns, too. Take a look at the paisley design that is a statement piece for some of the costumes.

The costumes were revealed at a Cast Member “fashion show” and they look like they had a blast showing off their new outfits. According to Disney, these looks were inspired by celebrities from the Riviera and those who traveled to the area, including Walt Disney.

The attention to detail is super notable in true Disney fashion and will give the cast a polished look as they go about making the Riviera Resort run smoothly.

This collection of costumes has a few stand-out pieces, and Cast Members will be able to mix-and-match some of the items for a personalized level of comfort and to help express their style. (We saw this kind of mix-and-match approach in Galaxy’s Edge costuming, too!)

The Riviera look is really getting us excited for the opening of the Resort next month, and we can’t wait to see these costumes in action. Keep checking back with us for more information about the Riviera Resort!

Why did they merge the Mediterranean and the Caribbean together? Makes no sense.
