As the D23 Expo kicks off, we are getting a peek inside the Disney Parks, Experiences, and Products display — and learning some new info!

Take a look below the “Imagining Tomorrow, Today” header — that’s a model of the Star Wars Hotel coming to Walt Disney World!
The hotel, described as a Star Wars vacation experience, will be called Star Wars: Galactic Starcruiser.

Hotel, or Starcruiser, guests will check in for a two-night “adventure aboard a glamorous starship”. Once hotel guests have checked-in, or are onboard, they will interact with characters as well as become active participants in stories going on around them during their stay, or “galactic journey” as it will be called.

The Galactic Starcruiser itself is called the Halcyon.

Two things: I wonder about how much, if any, of the capacity of the new Space restaurant will be reserved for people staying in this new hotel.
Also I presume that much like a cruise ship people will need to arrive at a specific time which will add yet another additional factor for WDW trip planning.
“guests will check in for a two-night adventure aboard a glamorous starship”
So, is it restricted to a 2 night stay? I’m not a big enough Star Wars fan to pay that kind of money for an elaborate “Renaissance Fair” experience. But I also paid over $20K for a motorcycle, so I’m already in a glass house!
Depending on cost, two nights may be more than enough. I suspect this will be over $1000 per night for in-room accommodations that will be closer to that of a value resort than of a deluxe resort. But you aren’t paying for the room, but for everything OUTSIDE of your room.
