If you have ever wondered what a day as a Disney cast member must be like, all your questions will be answered on December 3.
On the eve of the opening of this year’s D23 Expo, Ricky Strauss, president, Content & Marketing for Disney+ and Good Morning America’s Robin Roberts announced One Day at Disney, a collaboration between Disney Publishing Worldwide and Disney+, Disney’s streaming service.
One Day at Disney is a 224-page coffee table book and a documentary series, both debuting on December 3. Both highlight the people who bring Disney to life.
All the photos in this book were taken on a single day, beginning early in Tokyo then on to Shanghai, Hong Kong, Paris, Madrid, the Bahamas, Costa Rica, and dozens of places throughout the United States. More than 40 hours after it began, the day ended with a sunset at the Aulani resort in Hawaii. 80 Cast Members agreed to open up their workshops, dressing rooms, kitchens, cubicles, TV studios, labs, locomotive engines – and some even more surprising and diverse work spaces.
On December 3, the same day the book arrives in stores, Disney+ will debut its new, 52-episode short-form series One Day at Disney, launching with a feature-length documentary. This new series takes an in-depth look at the unique and surprising roles men and women call their daily jobs. The series and documentary are from Endeavor Content’s Non-Scripted Division and executive produced by Michael Antinoro and David Chamberlin and produced by Victoria Chamlee.
One Day at Disney is available for pre-order online. Disney+ launches on November 12, 2019.
