Disney Pic of the Week – Mice

Light Meter by Lisa K. Berton

EEK!! A mouse!! As images of Granny standing on a chair, shrieking, and Sylvester and Tweety run around her in circles while Speedy Gonzalez speeds off into his hole in the wall, I suddenly realize I really miss the Warner Bros. stores. That aside, this week’s theme was not my idea. Actually, our interpersonal highbrow communication states that we’re to post photos of “mice but not Mickey.” You know I almost went with a nice portrait of Minnie but I decided to branch out from the obvious.

Here he or she is, a spiny mouse as found in a glass case, inside a building, along the Pangani Forest Exploration Trail in Africa in Disney’s Animal Kingdom.

You can call him or her, Al.

Barrie and Scott will be posting their pics on Thursday and Saturday of Minnie Mouse. I kid, I kid. It’s Danger Mouse.

  1. Great shot! Actually I had a pet spiny mouse in university and its name was Ottmar (at the time I was a fan of Ottmar Leibert, flamenco guitarist…oh my wild and unbridled youth). I never knew if it was male or female, but it didn’t really matter.

    Thanks for the funny blogs!

Lisa responds: Thanks for not letting your mouse friend loose on campus, not that I was there.
